Yeh know what? I'm sick of people telling me what to be. I know what I frickin' want, you don't have my heart, my thoughts or my goals. This is the path I choose, not yours. Of course I like other people's guidance and help, usually appreciate it too. But you can't mold me to your 'perfect' person and restrain me from doing what I need to do. There's no success in if suffocation is all I feel, even if I become a multi-millionare one day, or become some big-shot name. It's not what I wanted, it's not what I'll ever want either. That's great for the other huge percent of the human population that wants money, fame, popularity and all the jazz. Sorry, I must've been born differently than the rest of humanity then. Money and fame are pretty chill...of course having a Jaguar or mansion is amazing, but what's the difference after I die? Just like from 'the Departed',(paraphrased) "Whether you're a criminal or saint, when you're behind a gunpoint, what's the difference? So I'd rather die doing what I want to do then what the rest of the world wants. No regrets!
The end. Just had to let it out.
Thursday - leaving for Chicago. I'm taking that needed vacation from work. Phew.

Help, please? Anyone who happens to read this, my teacher asked me to pick three classical pieces (or Japanese/Chinese music with substance) for next year's recital. If anyone has recommendations that'd be great, thanks.

Lesson learned: There comes a point in life where the past is irrelevant, and the future is distant and somewhat hopeless. All you can do is scrutinize the present and feel a cazillion things: passion, love, heartache, anger, temptation...the present can entertain you for hours. And I know the answer to destiny is hiding somewhere, but you can't search too hard because you'll miss the big picture. Can't miss the big opportunity. Carpe diem Sieze the f'in day!
Went to Carly's Graduation party today. I love Mount Class of '07 to death, they will be missed greatly.
Three exams down, three to go until I'm a senior in high school. Summer, I am so ready for you.

Oh. my. goodness. Dad told me to drive his car from the office to the house. I didn't estimate backing up next to Jule's car and half-way ripped off the Ford Focus' right rear view mirror. It's still on the car, but the mistake protrudes and is definitely noticable. He shouldn't have parked his car so damn far out, and I should'nt have had attempted to park like dad.
Jule's gonna kill me!
Uhhh, I don't have the heart to tell him...yikes.

Your Score: Myrna LoyYou scored 11% grit, 19% wit, 33% flair, and 42% class! You are class itself, the calm, confident "perfect woman." Men turn and look at you admiringly as you walk down the street, and even your rivals have a grudging respect for you. You always know the right thing to say, do and, of course, wear. You can take charge of a situation when things get out of hand, and you're a great help to your partner even if they don't immediately see or know it. You are one classy dame. Your screen partners include William Powell and Cary Grant, you little simmerpot, you.
Find out what kind of classic leading man you'd make by taking the Classic Leading Man Test.
So...I'm in the mood for Starbucks right now. I scanned papers and printed checks for three hours, hell, I think I deserve a good drink. A venti caramel frappucino would pair nicely with a tomato sandwich.
But it's raining and disgusting outside, plus the minivan (my sister's actually) is at half-tank. I just paid mom 30 bucks to re-fill it three days ago. I got lost in Montclair last night, searching for the high school to manage a track meet. And when I finally arrived, there was no track or field in sight. I bursted into the high school's gym and asked the volleyball players for directions. All the guys stared and then shrugged at me. I had to smile at their helplessness, considering it's their home track field. Eventually, I found one guy who directed me down the street, thank God.
Amy didn't need a manager today anyway. I sat back and watched fellow trackies run, bumped into Matt again (I swear we're secretly stalking each other), talked to Brittany about boy bands, random fun things, etc. My thumb hurts because it got stuck inside a tent while attempting to take it down.
Oh, hermana, I am jealous you are enjoying beautiful Hawaiian weather as Jersey people suffer from 52 degree weather.

I failed the drivers test today. It was a justified failure, I won't deny it. The driver instructor was a mean, middle-aged woman in a terrible mood. I was a nervous confused-looking, test taker who rolled stop signs, messed up the K-turn, parked too far from the curb and didn't signal. Oh, and she failed me for looking confused. (I'm serious, she mistook my nervous face as uncertainty. On my test results she wrote the word 'confused') Grr, I wanted that lisence desperately so I wouldn't have to mooch rides from everyone else.
Well, I thought I could drive, I thought I could do math, and I thought I could get a cool job... Apparently, the world doesn't agree. At least I gave it a shot. Two weeks from now is the next chance I get to prove I'm a decent driver. Uhhh, Happy Belated 17th Birthday to me.

I finlly took a train today.
The trip went smoothly, except, er, for those ticket machines. The machine at Penn Station wanted fifteen bucks for a metro card. It asked how many trips I wanted on the metro card, "11....20...40?" I don't need that many trips!, was all I could think. I must've stared at the machine for several minutes figuring out how to get one small ticket. If the Chinese man walking by did not inform me "you no need ticket! pay upstairs." then I might've wasted an entire 15 dollars!
Ah, but on the bright side, I am in Jersey City and not lost in NYC. So here I am, sitting in an empty office with a stack of SAT books, a computer and peanut rice balls.
The silence here is quite eerie. In a working state, silence does not bother me at all. I hear the clock in the other room ticking though. You'd think in a busy place like Jersey City clients would happily pass by because they need taxes. But nope, three hours and not a single sound. Except for the handsome Filipino postman who could be happily married. (Aw, that makes me a filthy person) No wonder my uncle left this job, sitting here is unbearably boring! Darn, I should've brought The Departed and watched it on the computer. I need some male hottness (Leo and Matt) to spice up this monotonous job.
Tonight, I'm also in-training for a real job. I was offered a job to be a hostess at a diner. It's usually a busy place and requires outgoingness, depite my timid and shy personality. So who knows if I can even handle it? I can't believe I got it right when I asked. On Saturday, the guy at the counter just asked to, "Come back Tuesday at five. Then I'll train you to be a hostess." I'm almost suspicious, but excited....:/

School makes me want to bang my head against a desk! Homework kills, and the teachers never chill. (That's an assonance right there...ha! Props to British Literature.) In study, I napped for fifteen minutes and dreamed about pleasant memories. Then Mrs. Ford distracted me by asking if I had any homework to complete. Grrr, who knows what would've happened in my dreams if Mrs. Ford left me alone.
Otherwise, I'm on a semi-runner's high from today's race. My self-expectations have dropped immensely this year. My final time for three miles went down three minutes. I stopped pushing myself for unknown reasons. Which is unusual, because I'm a person who usually has high standards.
A self-note... I decided to stay on cross country next season, just because: a. I must redeem myself and hit better times. b. The XC team is uber laid-back and cool. c. Amy (my coach) is the most encouraging, emphatic coach I've ever encountered. I've gone through enough sports, (bench-warmed most of them too) to make this conclusion.
